Xiaomi Mi 9 has a general score of 83.2, which is a little bit better than Huawei Mate 20's 79.5 overall score. Although Xiaomi Mi 9 and Huawei Mate 20 were released only a couple months apart, Xiaomi Mi 9 is just a little bit lighter and a little thinner. The Xiaomi Mi 9 has just a little better processing power than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xiaomi Mi 9 also has a higher amount of RAM.
Huawei Mate 20 features a bit sharper screen than Xiaomi Mi 9, because although it has a bit worse display pixel density and a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2244, it also counts with more brightness and a quite bigger screen. Xiaomi Mi 9 captures much better pictures and videos than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have the same (4K) video quality and a F1.8 aperture, the Xiaomi Mi 9 also has a bigger back camera sensor shooting higher quality videos and photos, faster video frame rates and a way better 48 megapixels resolution back camera.
The Huawei Mate 20 and the Xiaomi Mi 9 both have extremely similar memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos, both of them have exactly the same internal storage capacity. The Huawei Mate 20 counts with longer battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 9, because it has a 4000mAh battery size instead of 3300mAh.
