Huawei Mate 20 has an overall score of 79.5, which is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S's global score of 79. Both of these devices include Android operating system, but the Huawei Mate 20 has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has Android 11. The Huawei Mate 20 construction is just a little thinner and lighter than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, despite of the fact that it was released about 18 months before.
The Huawei Mate 20 counts with a little more vivid screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, although it has a bit lower 1080 x 2244 pixels resolution, a just a bit lower pixel quantity per inch in the display and a bit smaller display. Huawei Mate 20 counts with just a bit better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S. They have a 4 GB RAM memory and 8 processing cores.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has a better camera than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the same aperture and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also has a larger camera sensor and a lot more mega-pixels back-facing camera. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S features a quite bigger storage to store more apps and games than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has less internal storage, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that holds a maximum of 512 GB.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with superior battery lifetime than Huawei Mate 20, because it has a 5020mAh battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate 20 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Huawei Mate 20, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, resigning a couple features and specs.
