Comparison review
Huawei Mate 30 5G is a bit better than Asus ZenFone 8, with a general score of 87.4 against 83. The Huawei Mate 30 5G body is just a little bit thinner than Asus ZenFone 8, although it's somewhat heavier and was released just a bit further than a year before. These phones come with Android operating system, but Huawei Mate 30 5G has the older 10 version and Asus ZenFone 8 has Android 11.
Asus ZenFone 8's processor is just as good as the Huawei Mate 30 5G one, and although the Asus ZenFone 8 has lesser RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. The Asus ZenFone 8 has a better display than Huawei Mate 30 5G, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit higher pixels number in each inch of display and a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2400.
The Asus ZenFone 8's storage for apps and games is just as good as Huawei Mate 30 5G's one, they have equal 128 GB internal storage. Asus ZenFone 8 features just a bit better camera than Huawei Mate 30 5G, because although it has a tinier sensor offering a worse image quality, and they both have the same diafragm aperture, the Asus ZenFone 8 also counts with a way better 64 mega-pixels resolution camera in the back and a way better video resolution.
Huawei Mate 30 5G features a bit longer battery life than Asus ZenFone 8, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
