Comparison review
The Huawei P40 Pro has a global score of 88.2, which is a bit better than the Huawei Mate 30's 84 global score. Although Huawei P40 Pro is a better phone than Huawei Mate 30, it must be noted that it's also a a bit thicker and a little heavier phone. These phones use the same Android 10 operating system, so both should provide identical OS features.
Huawei P40 Pro features just a bit better screen than Huawei Mate 30, and although they both have a screen with the same size, the Huawei P40 Pro also has a quite better resolution of 1200 x 2640 pixels and a little bit more pixels per screen inch. The Huawei P40 Pro's storage capacity for applications and games is very similar to the Huawei Mate 30 one, both of them have the same 128 GB internal storage.
Huawei P40 Pro's processor is very similar to the processing unit in Huawei Mate 30, they have the same number of cores and a 8 GB RAM. The Huawei P40 Pro features a battery performance that's just as good as the battery life in Huawei Mate 30. The Huawei P40 Pro shoots just a bit better pictures and videos than Huawei Mate 30, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not good for capturing photos and/or video in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Huawei P40 Pro also counts with a larger back camera sensor which gives a better image and video quality and a better resolution back-facing camera.
