Huawei Mate 30 has a score of 84, which is just a bit better than Xperia XZ2 Premium's 82.2 overall score. The Huawei Mate 30 body is newer, somewhat lighter and much thinner than the Xperia XZ2 Premium. Xperia XZ2 Premium has a much more vibrant screen than Huawei Mate 30, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a much greater pixel density and a way better 2160 x 3840 pixels resolution.
Xperia XZ2 Premium features more memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei Mate 30, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with an external SD slot that admits a maximum of 400 GB. Huawei Mate 30 and Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium both feature very similar CPUs, and although the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has 2 GB lesser RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit.
Huawei Mate 30 has improved battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity against 3540mAh. Huawei Mate 30 has a better camera than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have a F1.8 aperture and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Huawei Mate 30 also has higher 60 fps video frame rate, a lot larger back camera sensor and a way better 40 megapixels resolution back facing camera.
