The Huawei Mate 40 Pro is much better than Huawei Mate 20, having a global score of 90.9 against 79.5. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro construction is newer than the Huawei Mate 20's, although it's somewhat heavier and a little thicker. Both phones we are comparing come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Huawei Mate 40 Pro has an older 10 version while Huawei Mate 20 has Android 9.0 Pie version.
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro features a bit faster CPU than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also has a larger amount of RAM memory. Huawei Mate 20 counts with just a bit better screen than Huawei Mate 40 Pro, although it has a little bit worse screen density, a quite smaller screen and a little bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2244px.
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro features a much better camera than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has a tinier aperture which is worse for low-light captures, and they both have the same video quality, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also counts with a lot more megapixels back-facing camera, higher video frame rates and a lot larger sensor shooting much better quality videos and photos.
