The Huawei Mate 40 Pro is slightly better than the Huawei P40 Pro, having a score of 90.9 against 88.2. Both devices in this review work with the same Android 10 operating system, so you shouldn't perceive any difference in that aspect. Although it's the best cellphone in this review, Huawei Mate 40 Pro's body is just a little thicker and just a little heavier than Huawei P40 Pro.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro counts with a slightly better looking screen than Huawei P40 Pro, because it has a slightly better 1334 x 2772 resolution, a bit bigger screen and a bit better number of pixels in each inch in the screen. Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a bit superior processor than Huawei P40 Pro. They have the same number of cores and a 8 GB RAM.
Huawei P40 Pro counts with just a bit better camera than Huawei Mate 40 Pro. Both have a F1.9 aperture, a same size sensor, a 50 MP resolution back facing camera, the same video frame rates and the same video quality. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a lot bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Huawei P40 Pro, because it has more internal memory.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a little better battery lifetime than Huawei P40 Pro, because it has 4400mAh of battery capacity.
