Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is a bit better than the Huawei Mate 40 Pro, getting a score of 94.6 against 90.9. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 construction is incredibly thinner but noticeably heavier than the Huawei Mate 40 Pro, and both of them were only released 1 months apart. These phones come with Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has the newer 11 version while Huawei Mate 40 Pro has Android 10 version, giving you some extra features and optimized performance.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro features a little sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 1334 x 2772 pixels and a little smaller screen, it also counts with a little higher pixels number per inch of display. The Galaxy Z Fold 2's storage for games and applications is just as good as the Huawei Mate 40 Pro one, both of them have exactly the same internal memory capacity.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2's CPU is very similar to the Huawei Mate 40 Pro one, and although the Galaxy Z Fold 2 has more RAM, they both have the same number of cores. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro features a superior camera than Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not favorable for low-light captures, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also counts with a back-facing camera with a way higher resolution and a much larger back-facing camera sensor which offers a much higher image and video quality.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 counts with just a little bit longer battery life than Huawei Mate 40 Pro, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity instead of 4400mAh.
