Comparison review
Huawei Mate 40 Pro is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 8, getting a overall score of 90.9 against 83.3. Both of these phones come with the same Android 10 OS (operating system). The Huawei Mate 40 Pro body is much newer than the Xiaomi Mi 8's, although it is somewhat heavier and somewhat thicker.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with a slightly better display than Huawei Mate 40 Pro, although it has a little smaller display, a quite lower 1080 x 2248px resolution and a quite worse count of pixels per inch in the screen. Huawei Mate 40 Pro counts with a bit superior CPU than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also has 2 GB more RAM.
Xiaomi Mi 8 and Huawei Mate 40 Pro both feature very similar memory for applications, games, photos and videos, both of them have exactly the same internal memory capacity. Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a way better camera than Xiaomi Mi 8, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not favorable for low light captures and video, and they both have the same video quality, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also counts with a much bigger sensor which provides a way better image and video quality, a much better 50 MP resolution camera and better video frame rate.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro features superior battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has a 29% more battery size.
