Comparison review
The iPhone XR is a bit better than Huawei Mate 8, with an 82 score against 77.4. The iPhone XR is a much newer cellphone than Huawei Mate 8, but it is a little bit heavier and just a little bit thicker. The iPhone XR counts with a slightly better display than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 828 x 1792 and a quite worse display pixel density, it also counts with a bit bigger screen.
Huawei Mate 8 features a lot bigger storage capacity for apps and games than iPhone XR, because it has more internal storage and an external memory card slot that supports up to 128 GB. IPhone XR has a better performance than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has 1 GB lesser RAM memory and less cpu cores (although faster), it also counts with a 64 bits processing unit.
The iPhone XR counts with a little bit better camera than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a much worse resolution back facing camera, it also counts with a lot higher (4K) video resolution and a larger diafragm aperture to capture better low-light captures and videos. Huawei Mate 8 counts with better battery duration than iPhone XR, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 2942mAh.
The iPhone XR costs a bit more money than Huawei Mate 8, but you can get a better phone for that few extra dollars.
