The Huawei Mate 30 5G has a score of 87.4, which is much better than Huawei Mate 8's global score of 77.4. The Huawei Mate 30 5G design is notably newer, but just a little bit heavier and a little bit thicker than the Huawei Mate 8. The Huawei Mate 30 5G has a bit more powerful processing unit than Huawei Mate 8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei Mate 30 5G also has 4 GB more RAM memory.
Huawei Mate 30 5G features a slightly better display than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a quite larger display, a little better number of pixels in each display inch and a bit higher 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. Huawei Mate 8 has a much bigger memory capacity for applications and games than Huawei Mate 30 5G, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory capacity, the Huawei Mate 8 also has a slot for SD memory cards that admits a maximum of 128 GB.
The Huawei Mate 30 5G takes way better pictures and videos than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a back-facing camera with way more mega pixels, a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a bigger aperture to take better low-light photography and video.
