Huawei P Smart (2020) has a score of 77.5, which is a little bit better than the Huawei Mate 8's 77.4 score. Although Huawei P Smart (2020) is a little thicker than Huawei Mate 8, it's lighter and also incredibly newer. Huawei Mate 8 has a bit better CPU than Huawei P Smart (2020). Both have 8 CPU cores and the same RAM memory amount.
The Huawei P Smart (2020) features just a bit better looking display than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a little greater pixel density, a little bit bigger screen and a quite better 1080 x 2340 resolution. The Huawei P Smart (2020) features a greater memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei Mate 8, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage capacity, the Huawei P Smart (2020) also has a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 512 GB.
The Huawei Mate 8 features better battery lifetime than Huawei P Smart (2020), because it has a 4000mAh battery size. Huawei Mate 8 has just a bit better camera than Huawei P Smart (2020), because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not good for shooting images and/or video in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same (Full HD) video definition and the same 60 fps video frame rates, the Huawei Mate 8 also counts with a better resolution back facing camera.
