Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 8 is a little bit better than Huawei P20 Lite (2019), getting a 77.4 score against 76.5. Even though the Huawei Mate 8 is older and just a little heavier than Huawei P20 Lite (2019), it's body is still a little thinner. The Huawei P20 Lite (2019) has a bit more vivid display than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a bit larger display, a bit higher 1080 x 2310 resolution and a just a little better pixel amount per inch of display.
Huawei Mate 8 features a little better hardware performance than Huawei P20 Lite (2019). Both of them have 4 GB of RAM memory and 8 cores. The Huawei Mate 8 captures a bit better videos and photos than Huawei P20 Lite (2019), because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not so good for capturing photos and videos in poorly lited environments, and they both have a back camera with a 16 mega pixels and the same (Full HD) video quality, the Huawei Mate 8 also counts with faster 60 frames per second video frame rates.
The Huawei P20 Lite (2019) has a little bit better memory to store more games and applications than Huawei Mate 8, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal storage, the Huawei P20 Lite (2019) also has an external SD slot that admits up to 256 GB. Huawei P20 Lite (2019) features a battery lifetime that's just as good as the Huawei Mate 8 one.
