Comparison review
The Huawei P40 is much better than the Huawei Mate 8, with an 86.4 score against 77.4. The Huawei P40 construction is extremely newer and a bit lighter, but just a little bit thicker than the Huawei Mate 8. Huawei P40 has just a little better performance than Huawei Mate 8, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Huawei P40 also has 2 GB more RAM memory.
The Huawei P40 features a little sharper screen than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a little larger display, a little greater count of pixels per inch in the screen and a quite better 1080 x 2340 resolution. The Huawei P40 takes much better videos and photos than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a back facing camera with a much higher 50 MP resolution, a larger aperture to take better captures in low light environments and a lot higher 3840x2160 (4K) video quality.
The Huawei Mate 8 counts with much more storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Huawei P40, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Huawei Mate 8 also has a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 128 GB. Huawei Mate 8 counts with just a bit better battery life than Huawei P40, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
In addition to being the best phone between the ones we are comparing here, the Huawei P40 is also very cheap compared to the other phones, which makes buying this phone an easy decision.
