Comparison review
Huawei P40 Pro has a global score of 88.2, which is much better than Huawei Mate 8's score of 77.4. Huawei P40 Pro's construction is notably newer than Huawei Mate 8's, although it's heavier and somewhat thicker. The Huawei P40 Pro has a little faster CPU than Huawei Mate 8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei P40 Pro also has a higher amount of RAM.
The Huawei P40 Pro features a bit better screen than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a little bit larger screen, a bit better number of pixels in each inch of screen and a better 1200 x 2640 resolution. The Huawei Mate 8 counts with much more storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei P40 Pro, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Huawei Mate 8 also has a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 128 GB.
Huawei P40 Pro shoots a lot better photos and videos than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a much higher 50 megapixels resolution back-facing camera, a lot higher (4K) video definition and a larger camera aperture for better low light photos. Huawei P40 Pro has just a bit longer battery life than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a 4200mAh battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
