Galaxy Note 3 has a global score of 81.2, which is slightly better than the Huawei Mate 8's 77.4 global score. The Galaxy Note 3 construction is a bit lighter than Huawei Mate 8, but it is a little bit thicker and was released 2 years before. Samsung Galaxy Note 3's processor is very similar to Huawei Mate 8's processor, because although the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has an inferior number of 2.3 GHz cores and lesser RAM memory, it also counts with an additional GPU.
Galaxy Note 3 counts with a more vivid display than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a quite smaller screen, and they both have the same exact resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the Galaxy Note 3 also counts with a bit better pixel count per inch in the screen. Galaxy Note 3 features a bit better camera than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a back-facing camera with a lower 13 megapixels resolution and a smaller aperture which is worse for low-light captures, it also counts with a way higher 3840x2160 video quality.
