Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy S5 has a global score of 80.8, which is a bit better than Huawei Mate 8's global score of 77.4. Samsung Galaxy S5's design is noticeably lighter than the Huawei Mate 8, but it is just a little thicker and was released only 18 months before. The Galaxy S5 features a lot better screen than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have the same exact 1920 x 1080px resolution, the Galaxy S5 also counts with a way greater pixels density.
The Huawei Mate 8 has a much better storage capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy S5, and although they both have an external memory slot that allows up to 128 GB, the Huawei Mate 8 also has more internal storage. Samsung Galaxy S5 counts with a little bit better performance than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has 1 GB less RAM and an inferior number of cores (although faster), it also counts with a graphics co-processor.
The Huawei Mate 8 counts with a really longer battery performance than Galaxy S5, because it has a 43 percent larger battery capacity. The Samsung Galaxy S5 captures slightly better videos and photos than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not nice for shooting photographs and/or video in low-light environments, and they both have a 16 MP back camera, the Samsung Galaxy S5 also counts with a much better 3840x2160 video definition.
In addition to being the best phone of the ones in this comparison, the Galaxy S5 is also a lot cheaper, which makes it a great choice.
