Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is better than the Huawei Mate 8, with an 85.7 score against 77.4. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is a a little thinner and much lighter cellphone than the Huawei Mate 8, although they were only released with a couple months difference. The Galaxy S6 Edge features a little bit better hardware performance than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy S6 Edge also counts with an extra graphics processing unit and a 64-bits processor.
The Galaxy S6 Edge features a much better looking display than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a much better display pixels density. Huawei Mate 8 counts with a much bigger storage capacity for applications and games than Galaxy S6 Edge, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Huawei Mate 8 also has an external SD slot that holds up to 128 GB.
Huawei Mate 8 captures much clearer videos and photos than Galaxy S6 Edge, although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not nice for capturing pictures and/or video in low light situations, they both have a back camera with a 16 mega pixels resolution, the same video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 video quality.
Huawei Mate 8 has a superior battery performance than Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has a 54% larger battery capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge costs more than the Huawei Mate 8, but you can get a better phone for that few extra dollars.
