Huawei Mate 8 has a score of 77.4, which is slightly better than the Galaxy S7 Active's 75.8 global score. Huawei Mate 8's construction has the same weight than Galaxy S7 Active, but it's noticeably thinner. The Huawei Mate 8 features a little better hardware performance than Galaxy S7 Active, and although they both have 4 GB of RAM memory, the Huawei Mate 8 also has 4 more cores.
Galaxy S7 Active features a better display than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a much greater pixels amount per inch of display and a higher 1440 x 2560 resolution. The Huawei Mate 8 features much more storage capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, because although it has a SD memory card expansion slot that allows 72 GB smaller, it also counts with 96 GB more internal memory.
The Galaxy S7 Active captures a little bit better videos and photos than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a lot lower resolution back facing camera, it also counts with a much better video resolution and a larger camera aperture. The Huawei Mate 8 and the Galaxy S7 Active both count with incredibly similar battery performance.
Although Huawei Mate 8 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy S7 Active, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy S7 Active. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy the Galaxy S7 Active, giving up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most with your savings.
