The Galaxy Z Flip 3 has an overall score of 85.6, which is much better than the Huawei Mate 8's overall score of 77.4. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 body is way newer, just a bit lighter and somewhat thinner than the Huawei Mate 8. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 has just a little better hardware performance than Huawei Mate 8, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 also has 4 GB more RAM.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 features a little sharper display than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a slightly better 1080 x 2636 resolution, a just a bit higher screen density and a little bit larger screen. Huawei Mate 8 captures much better photographs and videos than Galaxy Z Flip 3, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not good for low light photos and video, it also counts with a way higher resolution back camera.
The Huawei Mate 8 counts with a lot bigger memory to store more apps and games than Galaxy Z Flip 3, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Huawei Mate 8 also has an external SD slot that holds up to 128 GB. Huawei Mate 8 features longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Z Flip 3, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity.
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 costs a lot more money than Huawei Mate 8, but you can get a better phone for that few more dollars.
