Xperia XZ2 Premium has a global score of 82.2, which is slightly better than the Huawei Mate 8's general score of 77.4. The Xperia XZ2 Premium is a newer cellphone than Huawei Mate 8, but it's way heavier and notably thicker. Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with an incredibly better looking screen than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher 2160 x 3840px resolution and a much higher count of pixels per screen inch.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has just a bit better performance than Huawei Mate 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has more RAM memory. The Xperia XZ2 Premium has a much better camera than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a bigger aperture to take better low-light photography and videos, a higher resolution back-facing camera and a much better (4K) video quality.
The Huawei Mate 8 features slightly more memory capacity for apps and games than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because although it has an external memory slot that holds 272 GB smaller, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity. The Huawei Mate 8 features just a bit better battery lifetime than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 3540mAh.
Although Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more than Huawei Mate 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Huawei Mate 8. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Xperia XZ2 Premium, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Huawei Mate 8, resigning a couple features and specifications.
