The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is just a bit better than Huawei Mate 8, getting a 77.5 score against 77.4. Although Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is somewhat heavier than the Huawei Mate 8, it's a bit thinner and also newer. Huawei Mate 8 has just a bit better processing power than Xiaomi Mi Max 2. Both of them have a 4 GB RAM and the same number of cores.
Huawei Mate 8 has a little sharper display than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a quite smaller screen, and they both have the same 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, the Huawei Mate 8 also counts with a bit more pixels per inch in the display. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 captures a bit better videos and photos than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not recommended for taking images or video in poorly lited situations and a back facing camera with lot less megapixels, it also counts with a way better (4K) video quality.
Huawei Mate 8 and Xiaomi Mi Max 2 have really similar storage for games and applications, they have a SD memory card expansion slot that allows a maximum of 128 GB and exactly the same internal memory capacity. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has better battery duration than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a 5300mAh battery size against 4000mAh.
In addition to being the best phone of the ones in this comparison, Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is also a lot cheaper.
