Huawei Mate 8 is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi MIX, having a score of 77.4 against 76.2. The Huawei Mate 8 design has the same thickness than Xiaomi Mi MIX, but it is somewhat lighter. Huawei Mate 8 counts with a bit more powerful CPU than Xiaomi Mi MIX, and although they both have the same RAM amount, the Huawei Mate 8 also has a greater number of cores.
Xiaomi Mi MIX counts with a slightly better screen than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a little inferior quantity of pixels per inch of screen, it also counts with a slightly higher 1080 x 2040px resolution and a quite larger screen. The Huawei Mate 8 features much more memory capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Mi MIX, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory, the Huawei Mate 8 also has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 128 GB.
Xiaomi Mi MIX counts with a little better battery duration than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a 4400mAh battery size against 4000mAh. Xiaomi Mi MIX shoots just a bit better videos and photos than Huawei Mate 8, and although they both have a F2 aperture and the same resolution camera in the back, the Xiaomi Mi MIX also has a way better 3840x2160 video quality.
Although Huawei Mate 8 is a better device, it costs more money than the Xiaomi Mi MIX, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xiaomi Mi MIX. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Huawei Mate 8, else you can save some dollars and buy the Xiaomi Mi MIX, giving up a couple specifications.
