The Huawei Mate 8 is a bit better than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, having a 77.4 score against 76. The Huawei Mate 8 is an older, heavier and just a bit thicker phone than the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. Xiaomi Mi Note 2 and Huawei Mate 8 both feature quite similar displays, because although the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has a little smaller screen, and they both have an equal 1080 x 1920 resolution, it also counts with a quite higher screen density.
Huawei Mate 8 has a lot bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal memory, the Huawei Mate 8 also has a slot for an external memory card that supports a maximum of 128 GB. Huawei Mate 8 has a bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with a larger number of cores (although slower).
Huawei Mate 8 captures just a bit better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, although it has a camera in the back with a lot lower 16 mega-pixels resolution and a much lower video definition, they both have the same aperture. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 features a bit longer battery lifetime than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a 4070mAh battery size instead of 4000mAh.
Although Huawei Mate 8 is a better device, it costs more money than the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Mi Note 2. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Huawei Mate 8, else you can save some money and get the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, letting go a couple specs and features.
