Comparison review
The Asus ROG Phone 8 is a bit better than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, with a 79.5 score against 78.7. Asus ROG Phone 8's construction is way newer than the Huawei Mate 9 Pro's, although it's somewhat thicker and noticeably heavier. Both devices in this comparison come with Android OS (Operating System), but Asus ROG Phone 8 has older 14 version while Huawei Mate 9 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo version.
Asus ROG Phone 8 has a slightly better screen than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2400px and a way lower screen density, it also counts with a bigger screen.
