The Asus ZenFone 8 is just a bit better than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, with an 83 score against 78.7. Asus ZenFone 8's body has the same weight than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, but it's somewhat thicker. Both phones in this review have Android OS (Operating System), but Asus ZenFone 8 has the older 11 version while Huawei Mate 9 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo version.
Asus ZenFone 8 has a little faster CPU than Huawei Mate 9 Pro. Both of them have a 6 GB RAM memory and the same number of cores. The Asus ZenFone 8 has a little more vivid screen than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has a little less pixels per inch of display and a quite lower 1080 x 2400px resolution, it also counts with a bit larger display.
Asus ZenFone 8 takes way better photographs and videos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has a bigger aperture to capture better low light captures, a lot larger sensor providing a lot higher image quality, a lot higher video definition and a lot more MP camera. Asus ZenFone 8's storage for applications and games is very similar to Huawei Mate 9 Pro's one, both of them have the same 128 GB internal memory capacity.
Asus ZenFone 8 and Huawei Mate 9 Pro both feature incredibly similar batteries.
