Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has an overall score of 78.7, which is a bit better than the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2)'s global score of 77.4. Huawei Mate 9 Pro's construction is a little bit thinner and a little lighter than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), although it was released just 23 months before. Both devices in this review have Android operating system, but the Huawei Mate 9 Pro has the older 8.0 Oreo version and Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) has Android 9.0 Pie.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a slightly better display than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher resolution of 1440 x 2560 and a greater pixel density. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2). They have the same RAM amount and 8 processing cores.
The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) features a way bigger storage capacity to install applications and games than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) also has a slot for an external memory card that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB.
