Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a bit better than the Google Pixel 6a, getting a 78.7 score against 76.4. Huawei Mate 9 Pro is an much older cellphone than Google Pixel 6a, but Huawei could make it just a bit lighter and thinner. Both of these phones have Android operating system, but the Huawei Mate 9 Pro has the newer 8.0 Oreo version while Google Pixel 6a has Android 12 version, giving a lot of extra features and performance tweaks.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a sharper screen than Google Pixel 6a, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a quite higher display pixel density and a better resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro and the Google Pixel 6a both count with similar storage capacity to install games and applications, they have equal internal memory.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a way better hardware performance than Google Pixel 6a, and although they both have the same RAM amount, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro also has a larger number of faster cores. The Google Pixel 6a has a little longer battery performance than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has 4410mAh of battery capacity.
Google Pixel 6a shoots a little bit better pictures and videos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same (4K) video quality, the Google Pixel 6a also has a camera in the back with more mega-pixels, better 60 fps video frame rate and a lot bigger diafragm aperture to take better photography and videos in low light situations.
Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it is way more expensive than Google Pixel 6a, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Google Pixel 6a. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Huawei Mate 9 Pro, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Google Pixel 6a, giving up a couple features and specifications.
