Comparison review
Huawei Mate 9 Pro is just a bit better than the HTC One M9, with a 78.7 score against 77.7. Both phones in our current comparison include Android operating system, but Huawei Mate 9 Pro has 8.0 Oreo version while HTC One M9 has Android 5.0 version. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro design is newer and notably thinner, but also a bit heavier than the HTC One M9.
HTC One M9 features a bit sharper screen than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, although it has a little bit smaller display, a way worse 1920 x 1080 resolution and a bit lower quantity of pixels per screen inch. The HTC One M9 has just a bit better hardware performance than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has less RAM, and they both have 8 CPU cores, the HTC One M9 also counts with a 64 bits processor and a graphics co-processor.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a much better memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than HTC One M9, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity. The HTC One M9 takes a little bit better photographs and videos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same aperture, the HTC One M9 also has a bigger sensor which gives a higher photo and video quality and a camera in the back with a much higher resolution.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a very superior battery performance than HTC One M9, because it has a 41 percent bigger battery size.
Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the HTC One M9. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy HTC One M9, and give up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
