Comparison review
The Huawei P40 lite 5G is just a bit better than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, getting an 83.4 score against 78.7. Both of these phones work with Android OS (Operating System), but Huawei P40 lite 5G has older 10 version while Huawei Mate 9 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo version. Even though Huawei P40 lite 5G is extremely newer than the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, it's thicker and heavier.
Huawei P40 lite 5G's processing unit is just as good as the processor in Huawei Mate 9 Pro, they have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core processor. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a bit better display than Huawei P40 lite 5G, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a better display density.
The Huawei P40 lite 5G and Huawei Mate 9 Pro count with incredibly similar memory capacity for games and applications, they have equal 128 GB internal storage. Huawei P40 lite 5G has a better camera than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same video frame rates, the Huawei P40 lite 5G also has a back-facing camera with much more MP and a larger aperture for better low-light images.
The Huawei P40 lite 5G's battery life is very similar to the battery performance in Huawei Mate 9 Pro.
