Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has an overall score of 78.7, which is slightly better than LG Q8's 77.2 general score. Both of these phones work with Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei Mate 9 Pro has newer 8.0 Oreo version and LG Q8 has Android 7.0 Nougat, providing the user a couple additional features. Although the Huawei Mate 9 Pro and the LG Q8 were released only 6 months apart, Huawei Mate 9 Pro's construction is somewhat heavier but also just a bit thinner than the LG Q8.
The LG Q8 features a little sharper screen than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1440 x 2560, the LG Q8 also counts with a bit better pixel amount in each display inch. LG Q8 counts with a much better memory capacity for games and applications than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has just 32 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with an external memory slot that allows up to 1,95 TB.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro features just a little better hardware performance than LG Q8, because it has a larger amount of RAM memory and 4 more cores. The LG Q8 counts with a bit better camera than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same (4K) video quality, the LG Q8 also has a back-facing camera with a way better 16 mega pixels resolution, a bigger aperture to take better images in poorly lited situations and a bigger sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro has better battery life than LG Q8, because it has a 33 percent more battery size.
