Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro is slightly better than the nubia Red Magic 5S, with a score of 78.7 against 76.2. Both phones in this review have Android operating system, but the Huawei Mate 9 Pro has the newer 8.0 Oreo version and nubia Red Magic 5S has Android 10. Even though Huawei Mate 9 Pro is way older than the nubia Red Magic 5S, it's design is lighter and extremely thinner.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a bit sharper screen than nubia Red Magic 5S, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2560px resolution and a greater number of pixels per inch in the screen. Nubia Red Magic 5S and Huawei Mate 9 Pro both count with really similar storage capacity to install applications and games, both of them have the same 128 GB internal memory.
Nubia Red Magic 5S features a bit faster processor than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the nubia Red Magic 5S also has a higher amount of RAM. Nubia Red Magic 5S captures a lot better videos and photos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has a larger diafragm aperture for better low light captures and videos, a back-facing camera with much more mega-pixels, a way higher video quality and a way larger sensor taking lot better quality videos and pictures.
The nubia Red Magic 5S has just a little bit longer battery duration than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it costs more money than the nubia Red Magic 5S, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as nubia Red Magic 5S. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get the nubia Red Magic 5S, giving up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
