Huawei Mate 9 Pro is just a bit better than OnePlus 9, with a 78.7 score against 76. Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is much older than the OnePlus 9, it's design is somewhat lighter and somewhat thinner. Both phones we are comparing use Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a newer 8.0 Oreo version and OnePlus 9 has Android 11, so it provides lots of additional features.
OnePlus 9 has just a bit better hardware performance than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have 8 cores, the OnePlus 9 also has a greater amount of RAM. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a bit sharper display than OnePlus 9, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a greater display density and a higher 1440 x 2560 resolution.
OnePlus 9's storage capacity to store more apps and games is very similar to Huawei Mate 9 Pro's one, both have the same 128 GB internal memory. OnePlus 9 has a little longer battery life than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity. OnePlus 9 takes much better photos and videos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has a back facing camera with a way higher resolution, a much better video quality, a bigger aperture for better low light photography and a much larger sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro costs a bit more money than OnePlus 9, but you can get a better phone for that few more dollars.
