Galaxy A40 has a general score of 79.6, which is just a bit better than Huawei Mate 9 Pro's 78.7 general score. Galaxy A40 is a much newer and somewhat lighter phone than the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, but it is also just a little thicker. These devices use Android operating system, but Galaxy A40 has an older 11 version and Huawei Mate 9 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo version.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a little more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy A40, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a quite greater pixel amount per inch in the screen and a higher resolution of 1440 x 2560px. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro features just a bit better performance than Galaxy A40, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro also has more RAM.
