Comparison review
The Galaxy M40 has a global score of 85, which is a bit better than Huawei Mate 9 Pro's 78.7 score. Even though Galaxy M40 is a little thicker than the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, it's a little bit lighter and also a lot newer. Both of these devices come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy M40 has an older 10 version and Huawei Mate 9 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo version.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a little more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy M40, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a greater pixel density and a higher 1440 x 2560 resolution. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a little better hardware performance than Galaxy M40. They have 6 GB of RAM memory and a Octa-Core processor.
The Galaxy M40 counts with a superior camera than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy M40 also has a lot more MP back facing camera, a way bigger diafragm aperture for better low light photography and videos and a larger camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
Galaxy M40 counts with a way bigger memory to store more apps and games than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal memory, the Galaxy M40 also has a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB. Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a bit better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy M40, because it has a 14 percent more battery size.
