Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a score of 83, which is slightly better than the Huawei Mate 9 Pro's global score of 78.7. Both phones in this comparison include Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Huawei Mate 9 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo. Despite being the best in this comparison, it must be noted that it's also somewhat heavier and thicker.

Huawei Mate 9 Pro and Samsung Galaxy Note8 count with extremely similar displays, because although the Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a little worse number of pixels per display inch, it also counts with a bit bigger screen and a bit higher resolution of 1440 x 2960. Galaxy Note8 has slightly more memory to install games and applications than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has 0 less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 256 GB.
