Huawei Mate 9 Pro is just a bit better than Galaxy S7 edge, with a 78.7 score against 78.1. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro body has the same thickness than the Galaxy S7 edge, but it is just a bit heavier. These devices work with the same Android 8.0 Oreo OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't see any differences regarding OS features.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a little bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because it has 4 more CPU cores and more RAM memory. Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a bit more vivid screen than Galaxy S7 edge. Both have the same number of pixels per screen inch, exactly the same 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution and a screen of the same size.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has more storage capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity.
