Comparison review
Sony Xperia 5 II is much better than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, having an 87.2 score against 78.7. The Sony Xperia 5 II construction is noticeably newer and just a little lighter, but also just a little bit thicker than Huawei Mate 9 Pro. The Xperia 5 II has a bit more powerful CPU than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xperia 5 II also has more RAM.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a bit more vivid display than Xperia 5 II, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a just a bit more pixels per inch of screen and a slightly better resolution of 1440 x 2560px. Xperia 5 II counts with a better camera than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a same resolution back camera, the Xperia 5 II also has a much larger camera aperture to capture better low light photography and video, higher 120 frames per second video frame rate and a much bigger back-facing camera sensor.
Sony Xperia 5 II has a much better memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has a SD extension slot that allows up to 1000 GB. Xperia 5 II's battery duration is just as good as the Huawei Mate 9 Pro one.
Xperia 5 II is a bit more expensive than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, but you can get a better phone for that few more dollars.
