The Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a little bit better than Sony Xperia XZs, getting a score of 78.7 against 77.2. Huawei Mate 9 Pro's body is just a little bit heavier but just a little thinner than the Sony Xperia XZs, and they were only released with a couple of months difference. Huawei Mate 9 Pro has just a little better performance than Sony Xperia XZs, because it has 2 GB more RAM memory and 4 more CPU cores.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a bit more vivid screen than Sony Xperia XZs, because it has a bit larger display, a better resolution of 1440 x 2560 and a better pixel density. Xperia XZs counts with a greater camera than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Xperia XZs also has a camera in the back with a way better 19 megapixels resolution, a larger camera aperture for better photography and videos in low light situations, a much bigger camera sensor providing a way higher image quality and better 960 fps video frame rates.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has more storage capacity to store more games and applications than Xperia XZs, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with more internal storage. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a much longer battery lifetime than Xperia XZs, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro costs a little more money than Sony Xperia XZs, but you can get a better phone for that few more dollars.
