Comparison review
The Xperia Z5 Premium is slightly better than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, with a 79.8 score against 78.7. Although it's the best we compare here, Xperia Z5 Premium is an older, just a little thicker and a bit heavier cellphone than Huawei Mate 9 Pro. Both of these phones use Android OS (Operating System), but Xperia Z5 Premium has the older 5.1 version while Huawei Mate 9 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo version.
Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a processing unit that is just as good as the Huawei Mate 9 Pro one, because although the Xperia Z5 Premium has less RAM memory, and they both have a Octa-Core processor, it also counts with a graphics co-processor. Xperia Z5 Premium has a way better looking display than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have a display with the same size, the Xperia Z5 Premium also has a way better resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and a greater pixel number in each inch in the display.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a better storage for applications and games than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with more internal storage. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has just a little better battery lifetime than Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 3430mAh.
Xperia Z5 Premium shoots better pictures and videos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same video frame rate, the Xperia Z5 Premium also has a much larger sensor, a back facing camera with a lot higher 23 megapixels resolution and a bigger camera aperture to capture better photography and videos in low light environments.
