Comparison review
Huawei Mate 9 Pro is slightly better than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, with a 78.7 score against 77.5. Huawei Mate 9 Pro's body has the same thickness than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, but it's lighter. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a more vivid display than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 2560px and a lot more pixels per inch of display.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a much better memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal storage capacity, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 128 GB. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have 8 cores, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro also has 2 GB more RAM memory.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2's camera is just as good as Huawei Mate 9 Pro's camera, both of them have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, a same resolution back camera, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, a same size sensor and the same aperture. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features greater battery duration than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has 5300mAh of battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it is way more expensive than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xiaomi Mi Max 2. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy Xiaomi Mi Max 2, letting go a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
