Comparison review
Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a general score of 78.7, which is slightly better than the Xiaomi Mi Note 2's 76 score. Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a just a little heavier cellphone than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, but they have the same thickness. Both devices in our current comparison come with Android operating system, but Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a more recent 8.0 Oreo version and Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has Android 6.0 Marshmallow, so it counts with lots of additional features and performance enhancements.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a more vivid screen than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher quantity of pixels per inch of display and a higher resolution of 1440 x 2560px. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a bit better performance than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, and although they both have 6 GB of RAM memory, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro also has more processing cores.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 and Huawei Mate 9 Pro both feature really similar memory for games and applications, they have exactly the same internal memory capacity. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a better camera than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, although it has a back-facing camera with a much lower 12 mega-pixels resolution, a lower video resolution, a smaller aperture which is not so good for low-light photography and video and a smaller sensor which gives a worse image and video quality.
Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has a little better battery duration than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has a 4070mAh battery size against 4000mAh.
Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it is way more expensive than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Mi Note 2. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, letting go some specs and features.
