Comparison review
Huawei Mate 9 Pro is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, with a 78.7 score against 75.7. Both phones in our current comparison have Android OS, but Huawei Mate 9 Pro has 8.0 Oreo version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro has Android 12, so it provides some nice extra features and optimized performance. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro is an notably older phone than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, but it's a bit lighter and just a bit thinner anyway.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a very superior processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro. They have 6 GB of RAM memory and 8 cpu cores. Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro has a display that's very similar to the Huawei Mate 9 Pro one, because although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro has a little bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a way lower pixel density, it also counts with a bigger display.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro and Huawei Mate 9 Pro count with very similar storage capacity for games and applications, both of them have equal 128 GB internal storage capacity. Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro counts with improved battery duration than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has a 25 percent larger battery size.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro shoots greater pictures and videos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (4K) video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro also has a much bigger back camera sensor providing a lot higher image quality, a larger aperture to capture better photos and videos in poorly lited situations and a camera in the back with much more megapixels.
