Comparison review
Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a score of 78.7, which is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro's 75.8 global score. Even though the Huawei Mate 9 Pro is older than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, it's body is a bit thinner and a little lighter. Both devices in this review come with the same Android 8.0 Oreo OS (operating system).
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a bit superior processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. Both have a 6 GB RAM memory and a Octa-Core processor. Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a little more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2560px resolution and a better number of pixels per inch of display.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a bit more memory to install applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. Huawei Mate 9 Pro and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro feature extremely similar battery performance.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro shoots slightly better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, and although they both have the same resolution camera and a F2.2 aperture, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro also has a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video definition.
