Comparison review
Huawei Mate 9 Pro is slightly better than the ZTE Axon 20, with a 78.7 score against 77.8. Even though Huawei Mate 9 Pro is noticeably older than ZTE Axon 20, it's design is somewhat lighter and just a bit thinner. These devices include Android operating system, but the Huawei Mate 9 Pro has newer 8.0 Oreo version while ZTE Axon 20 has Android 10 version, counting with some additional features and better performance.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a slightly better display than ZTE Axon 20, because although it has a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a little higher resolution of 1440 x 2560px and a higher display pixels density. The ZTE Axon 20's storage to store more apps and games is just as good as the Huawei Mate 9 Pro one, both have exactly the same internal storage capacity.
The ZTE Axon 20 counts with a bit better CPU than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the ZTE Axon 20 also has 2 GB more RAM. The ZTE Axon 20 features a way better camera than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, the ZTE Axon 20 also has a bigger camera aperture, a back facing camera with a much higher 64 mega-pixels resolution, higher video frame rate and a way bigger back camera sensor.
ZTE Axon 20 features a little better battery life than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has a 4220mAh battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it is way more expensive than the ZTE Axon 20, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the ZTE Axon 20. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the ZTE Axon 20, letting go a couple specifications.
