Huawei Mate 9 Pro is slightly better than the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra, getting a score of 78.7 against 78.1. These phones have Android OS, but Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a more recent 8.0 Oreo version while ZTE Axon 30 Ultra has Android 11. Huawei Mate 9 Pro is an older phone than ZTE Axon 30 Ultra, but Huawei was able to build it just a little thinner and somewhat lighter anyway.

ZTE Axon 30 Ultra features just a little better battery life than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has a 15 percent greater battery capacity.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro costs a little more than ZTE Axon 30 Ultra, but it's still a great choice, as you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
