Huawei P20 Pro has a global score of 81.4, which is better than Huawei Mate 9's 73.4 global score. The Huawei P20 Pro body has the same thickness than the Huawei Mate 9, but it is just a little bit lighter. The Huawei P20 Pro counts with a processor that's just as good as the Huawei Mate 9 one, and although the Huawei P20 Pro has a higher amount of RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core CPU.
Huawei P20 Pro counts with a little sharper screen than Huawei Mate 9, because it has a quite better 1080 x 2240 resolution, a little bigger display and a just a little higher display pixels density. Huawei Mate 9 features just a bit more storage capacity for applications and games than Huawei P20 Pro, because although it has less internal storage, it also counts with an external SD slot that supports up to 256 GB.
Huawei P20 Pro's battery life is very similar to the battery lifetime in Huawei Mate 9. Huawei P20 Pro captures a lot better photos and videos than Huawei Mate 9, and although they both have the same video quality and the same video frame rate, the Huawei P20 Pro also has a way more megapixels camera, a bigger aperture to take better photography in poorly lited situations and a much bigger back-facing camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
