The Huawei P30 Pro has an overall score of 82.1, which is better than Huawei Mate 9's global score of 73.4. Although Huawei P30 Pro is extremely newer than Huawei Mate 9, it's a bit heavier and just a little bit thicker. Huawei P30 Pro has just a little better processing power than Huawei Mate 9, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Huawei P30 Pro also has a larger amount of RAM.
The Huawei P30 Pro features a bit more vivid screen than Huawei Mate 9, because it has a bit higher pixel number in each inch in the display, a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a little bit larger screen. The Huawei Mate 9 features a slightly better storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Huawei P30 Pro, because although it has only 64 GB internal storage, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 256 GB.
The Huawei P30 Pro shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Huawei Mate 9, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Huawei P30 Pro also has a lot more mega-pixels camera in the back, a much larger aperture to take better captures and video in low light environments and a lot larger back camera sensor which offers a lot higher image and video quality.
Huawei P30 Pro features a little longer battery life than Huawei Mate 9, because it has a 4200mAh battery size instead of 4000mAh.
