The LG G8 ThinQ is better than the Huawei Mate 9, getting a overall score of 84.3 against 73.4. The LG G8 ThinQ design is incredibly newer and lighter than the Huawei Mate 9's, but it is also just a bit thicker. The LG G8 ThinQ counts with a much better display than Huawei Mate 9, because it has a way better 1440 x 3120 pixels resolution, a quite bigger screen and a lot higher display pixels density.
