Comparison review
Moto Z2 Play has a score of 77.4, which is just a bit better than the Huawei Mate 9's 73.4 global score. Moto Z2 Play is a noticeably thinner and noticeably lighter cellphone than Huawei Mate 9, even when both were released with only 6 months difference. The Moto Z2 Play has a bit sharper display than Huawei Mate 9, because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have exactly the same 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, the Moto Z2 Play also counts with a little higher pixel quantity in each inch of display.
The Moto Z2 Play has a very superior storage to install games and applications than Huawei Mate 9, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory, the Moto Z2 Play also has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. Huawei Mate 9 counts with just a little better processing power than Motorola Moto Z2 Play. Both have a Octa-Core CPU and a 4 GB RAM.
Moto Z2 Play takes much clearer photos and videos than Huawei Mate 9, and although they both have the same video frame rate, a back-facing camera with a 12 mega pixels and the same (4K) video quality, the Moto Z2 Play also has a much bigger aperture to take better low light images. The Huawei Mate 9 counts with improved battery performance than Moto Z2 Play, because it has a 4000mAh battery size.
